Should the need arise, you can access various emergency and medical services while you’re here on the West Highland Peninsulas. Here are details on how to contact them.

GP surgeries are held regularly at Acharacle, Strontian, Kilchoan and Lochaline, with cover provided by two medical practices:

  • Acharacle Medical Practice: covers Ardnamurchan, Moidart & Sunart. Please phone Acharacle Medical Practice (between 8am and 6pm) to make an appointment – 01967 431 231. Full details here.
  • Morvern Medical Practice: covering the Morvern area, the surgery reception is open between 8.30am and 1pm Monday to Friday. Full details here.

If you need out of hours medical care, telephone NHS 24 by dialling 111.

If you need a Dentist, the closest one is M&S Dental Care in Fort William. They can be contacted by telephone on 01397 702 147.

If you are here with your pet and need to see a Vet, the closest one is Crown Vets in Fort William. They can be contacted by telephone on 01397 702 727.

Our local Police are based in Strontian and if you need to contact them urgently, dial 101.
