Situated in the centre of the beautiful west highland village of Strontian, Woodland Pottery offers a varied range locally handcrafted pottery, gifts and much more.

Sarah is a skilled craftsperson, making pottery, hand spinning wool, creative felt making and she loves to run workshops to share her love of the creative processes. If you'd be interested in a workshop do get in touch, it's a great way to spend a day resting your likely tired legs from walking and enjoying the outdoors activities.

The majority of Sarah's art work is inspired by the landscape and wildlife of Sunart and the life within crofting townships in the surrounding area. The pottery is hand made using slip casting and hand sculpting techniques, stoneware and earthenware clays are used, fired in the kiln, then decorated or glazed using lead free glazes providing a bright and detailed selection for you to choose from.

Woodland Pottery offers local crafters and businesses the opportunity sell their products, supporting enterprise in the area and providing a wonderful choice of gifts for you to take home.

Our stock includes Pottery made in the small workshop, beautiful local yarn for knitting and dyeing from sheep in the local area, handmade soaps, hand knitted hats, scarfs, socks, note cards, and a range hand turned wooden gifts.
