Top Nurse Award

Kilchoan nurse Jessie Colquhoun has been named top nurse at the Scottish Health Awards 2009, in recognition of her hard work and dedication to Scotland's health service. Jessie has worked for NHS Scotland for 50 years, and for the past 33 years has been district nurse in the Ardnamurchan area. She picked up the prestigious "Nurse Award" at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh last month, at a red carper ceremony hosted by TV presenter Jackie Bird and attended by Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon.
